Sudhir Shreedharan

Sudhir is the full time Director of AIPC Limited in New Zealand. A driving force behind the company, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the company and acts as the principal R&D consultant for all the R&D projects which AIPC in New Zealand undertakes. He has served senior management and strategy positions within the R&D, Music Tech and copyright protection verticals. Sudhir has served as the Managing Director – Asia Pacific of Germany headquartered Music2Deal.com, the world’s largest B2B music content marketplace for the music industry. He has also served as the Editor-In-Chief of the IMI PPL (apex association of the music industry in India). He is a mentor to various hi-tech startups in Germany, New Zealand, Australia & Asia. He has also served as an advisor to promising tech startups at New Zealand's largest incubator - ICEHOUSE, Auckland as well as for the LIGHTNING LABS, Wellington. Sudhir has also worked closely with the committee of the India New Zealand Business Council and has been a member of the India Australia Business Council. Sudhir has spoken as a key panelist on some of the major industry conferences including POPKOMM(Berlin), Music Matters (Hong Kong), OMFM (Australia), Canadian Music Week (Toronto) and the Amsterdam Dance Event (Amsterdam). He has been applauded by the entertainment industry for introducing cutting edge digital technologies from the US & Europe to Asia. Sudhir lives in New Zealand and frequently travels to Australia, Europe, US and Asia.

Mario Christiani

Tech Investor and European Trade Relations

 

Mario is the founder, chairman and worldwide managing director of the AIPC group of companies. He serves as the non executive director of AIPC Limited and is based out of Hamburg, Germany. Mario is a keen investor in technology. A musician, water sports enthusiast, self proclaimed Italian food expert and an avid traveller of Europe, he spends most of his day mentoring the CEO's of his group companies and subsidiaries. As the Worldwide Managing Director of Music2Deal.com, the world's largest marketplace for the music industry, he looks after the day-to-day activities of the company. Currently Mario is also the front end consultant on project EURICCA - a collaborative effort between the UNESCO and the EU.

EURICCA initiative (European Research & Innovation Agency for Cultural Clusters) aims to provide new tools and innovative training paths to strengthen cultural, educational and business activities related to the Cultural Clusters, combining theory to practice via the simultaneous management of Communities of Practice and Living Labs. Music Sector will be the first Cluster to be developed, including directly and indirectly related professions (industries, education, VET, Classic Sector, Choirs, venues etc...) This collaborative effort, will allow the gathering of substantial information consisting of point of views, suggestions and best practices from (amongst others) artists, formal and non-formal music teachers, publishers, entrepreneurs, journalists, musicologists, sound engineering colleges, radio stations, live venues and concert halls. Mario is based out Germany and loves to travel all across Europe. 

Dave Moskovitz

Professional Director and Startup Investor

Dave is a professional director and early-stage investor. He has invested in a number of startups including The Appreciation Engine (formerly MusicHype), ShowGizmo, Ponoko, 8interactive, Publons, Expander, LearnKo, WIP App, and others. His Wellington-based company WebFund invests in and nurtures companies from concept through to investment and execution. He is also a member of Angel HQ, Wellington’s angel investment club, and he organises the Lean Startup Wellington meetup. He has often been referred to as "the godfather of Wellington startups".
He is also on the InternetNZ Council and serves on several boards. He does a significant amount of work for non-profits. He is a Global Facilitator for Startup Weekend, and has been on the organising teams of Startup Weekends in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Palmerston North, Dunedin, Perth, and Silicon Valley. He is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and their startups move from inspiration to perspiration and global success. He loves helping people connect with other aligned people and resources. Dave is currently based out of New Zealand and frequently travels to the United States.

Peter Fosso

US Business Development Expert

American business developer and marketing specialist with a vast experience and strong expertise in the music industry, Peter is our US market consultant. Peter has served Music2Deal,in the capacity of the Operations Head for the US.  Music2Deal is a global networking platform for the music community. Founder of various entreprenuer groups and forums in the US he is credited widely for founding the Seattle and Stockholm Entreprenuers Network. Peter has also founded and managed the Microsoft Employees Network that collaborated on the Global Music Project. Extremely influential within the entertainment circuit in the US, Mr. Fosso also been associated with the Grammy Awards. A reguar speaker at most startups events around the world, he spends most of his time mentoring startups and enabling them to explore the market in the United States. A musiciain at heart, he has previously served Insight Records in the US as its A&R head for 4 years and was the Vice President of Netmusic Entertainment Corporation. He is currently based out of Seattle but keeps traveling between Europe and the US.

Taishi Fukuyama

As our consultant for the Japanese market, his primary goal is to validate ideas, customize/localize offerings and acquire customers for all types of businesses in Japan. Dentsu is one of the world's largest advertising agency. Estremely well connected within the Japanese startup, IT and Digital Media industries, Taishi is based in Tokyo and frequently travels to the US.

Adel Shahin

Serial Entreprenuer, Investor

Adel has a vast experience working on all aspects of a start-up. He was the co-founder of Parrot Analytics and helped the early stage company fundraise the largest seed capital in New Zealand. He also established Food Lookout and MoverVan, two IT based start-ups that cultivate a community user base. Adel has worked with various incubators and growth centres in New Zealand and is also an avid supporter of the local community. He has led many new projects and youth camps and was a project manager for Auckland Eid Day since its inception in 2011 – an Islamic bi-annual festival that attracts 10,000 people from around New Zealand. Adel thrives on challenging and difficult projects. He has worked with different industries and has made himself known to the major entities in those industries. He continues to find new ways to help companies grow effectively and quickly. He has recently started investing financially into new start-ups and aims to nurture a wide portfolio within the next few years.

Adel holds a BBIM majoring in Information Management and Accounting from the University of Auckland. Although based out of New Zealand he frequently travels to Australia for business and is an avid globe trotter.

Rod Solomons

ex QLD Trade Commissioner and Professional Director

 

Mr Rod Solomons is currently the Chairman of Dhanush Infotech for Australasia. He also sits on several other Boards in both Australia and India. He is passionate about taking Australian vocational education into South Asia and is currently working part-time for Southbank Institute of Technology as their representative for India, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Until his retirement in 2013, Mr Solomons was based in India as the Queensland Government's Trade and Investment Commissioner to South Asia. Prior to this he was working in India for IBM, managing all investment for IBM's software business across the emerging markets of India and China. Most of Mr Solomons' work career has been across the globe with IBM, in 2 stints, with the intervening period spent as the Managing Director of ABN Amro's leasing business in Australia and he was also the Asia Pacific representative to the Board in the Netherlands. As the Trade & Investment Commissioner for the Australian state of Queensland, Rod was responsible for managing a team of locally-based professionals in India to assist Queensland-based businesses and educational institutions to sell their goods and services into South Asia. In parallel the team was tasked with promoting Queensland state as an investment opportunity for South Asian investors. Key outcomes were measured and reported in Parliament. During his tenure Brisbane (Australia) and Hyderabad (India) were officially pronounced as Sister Cities in October 2010 by Lord Mayor of Brisbane (Campbell Newman), as were Ipswich (Australia) and Hyderabad (as pronounced by Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisale). Rod is based out of Australia and frequently travels to Asia.

Richard Rogers

A&R Consultant & Talent Management Expert

With over a 25 year career in the music industry Richard has worked with music publishers and with the record labels in A&R and Talent Management. He has worked very closely with the BBC Radio 2, EMAP, Warner/Chappell Music Publishing UK, Transistor Records (Italy), IMP (Sweden) and Creativity Music (Russia) amongst others.
Mr. Rogers has also lectured at the Thames Valley University for the London College of Music & Media. In early 2000 Richard ventured into the creative side producing and co-writing with various acts and labels on diverse material and amongst others has co-written with Phil Harding (SAW/PWL Boyzone), Denis Conoley (Billy Ray Martin), Gilbert Gabriel (Dario G, Dream Academy), Kingsley Sage (Anemo, Bellatrix), Ian Bowman (Ant & Dec, Sticky), Amy Studt, Reece Gilmore (Blue, Stevie Wonder), Eden James (Collision Records), Darshan and Lyndsay Emery.

His book 'The Alternative Guide To Eurovision' was published in the UK and has been a big success.

Richard currently lives in the UK and frequently travels to Europe and the US.

 

Shahnaab Alam

International Entertainment Expert

A highly successful independent and international film producer, Shahnaab has over two decades of experience in developing, strategizing and executing entertainment projects. He has been consistently working with high net-worth entertainment industry professionals and addressing both popular as well as niche audience segments in national and international markets. His core strengths include - understanding transformational technologies and trends in the media and creative industries, dealing with ambiguity, working with variable resources in a budget conscious environment and managing healthy conflict in a competitive high visibility market. He has been on the board of Australian Film Initiative, AAFI, an Australian film body which promotes and facilitates international film co-production, and cinematic trade and business between the Australian film industry and the rest of the world. In the past he as facilitated the participation of a high level Australian cinema delegation to the annual conference on cinema in India, FICCI-Frames’2011. The delegation was led by actor Hugh Jackman, which also included director Bill Bennett and senior officials of Screen Australia, the nodal agency for cinema in Australia. Shahnaab has produced several ad-films and corporate films for blue chip clients such as Amul, Crush, Indane, Energizer, Sansui and Reliance. He has also conceptualised and directed several high profile corporate launches and promotions for various companies, brands and organisations, like the Italian firm LIBERTI's Liberblu collection, Concord Designer watches, Monsanto, SANSUI Electronics, ORIGIN Technologies and Colgate-Palmolive.
